I like the drums, they feel very organic. Can't say the same for the piano in the opening though, it lacks a certain dynamic... The buildup was very nice, though.
I feel like the tonality doesn't reflect the title though. I was expecting something a little more depressing. The tone is very uplifting and major~

I used to make a lot of downbeat songs in my first couple years of making music, but the ways that I create music and the fact that I've changed as a person myself, I find it hard to make downbeat songs. No matter what I try, the songs always turn out upbeat, haha. As far as the piano though, what did you feel it was missing? Chords, notes, or maybe it just sounds bland? Thanks for your review!

A wonderful loop, really smooth transition. I feel like the main lead is a little too truncated though. Some variation in the rhythm with a light rounding of the wave shape, or some delay would do it wonders, I think.

Kassich responds:

Thanks for listening and commenting! your right, some variation in the rhythm would probably be best, and definitely something i would do in a full/longer version of this.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

AND TOOL. WHAT, Dude--
You are literally my favorite Musician on NG, I swear
Beautiful rendition by the way. A bit more positive in tonality, probably because of the recurrence of the theme from the opening. Very unexpected

S-Rock responds:

Thank you very much. It means a lot!

I've just been going through all of your tracks, and I really can't help but download every single one of them, haha, they're so smooth. And the mastering sounds almost like they're being played on vinyl or an 8 track, but with just enough high and low frequency to give it a bit more. Indescribably good

S-Rock responds:

Touching! thanks homie! Im glad I could be a help to you in your efforts of enjoying music :D

Orchestral and 8 bit--
Man, haha, I didn't think that could be pulled off all that well, but you certainly did it
Well done.

I love the mixing on this track- the bass and mid-high frequencies really pop, and with the breakbeats, it's just.. MMM. tasty, haha

DESHIEL responds:

that's the lovely union of EQUO, EFFECTOR and Fruity parametric 2 :)

Very minimalist. minimalist in a good sense though. It probably could use a little bit more substance though. I feel as though it could be used for something cinematic in an 8bit video game.

RabidMedia responds:

Thank you for your honest response.

I love it! A different air than harmco pt1, but I love it. I'm a big fan of swingy manouche-esque music, and this is an interesting twist on my usual listenings.

FANTASTIC.

ima download this as soon as i get on my ps3.but,as a personal opinion,i think the rythm track could've been better

ChaosDragon004 responds:

That opinion is well taken. I f I ever do a 2nd ver of this song I'll see what I can do with it.

yes.

I absolutely agree with nocius on this.too many people are putting in random notes in FL and just ruining the point in trying to make something worth listening to.the bass makes the song in this.its got the flow/rythm/organic/fluid swing that noone can emulate.nothing out there's well thought out and organized,so i'm glad to hear someone out there's not like that.a bit repetitious though.

Ornery curmudgeon--Keep telling myself "YEAH, I'll do art again someday" and then I work 4 12 hour shifts in a row
